200,000 affected by dry weather

The Disaster Management Center said, that over 200,000 people have been affected by the dry weather conditions prevailing in the country.

District Secretaries have been provided with facilities and financial provisions needed to provide relief for the affected people, said Pradeep Kodippili the Deputy Director of DMC,

The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead tomorrow are Ahungalla, Ganegoda, Kalubowitiyana, Ketawala, Walalgoda, Sooriyawewa and Galkaduwa about 12:12 noon and there will also be high-temperature weather at Gampaha, Mannar, Vavuniya, Mullaitivu, Hambantota, and Monaragala Districts,said the Department of Meteorology.
