The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by President Maithripala Sirisena to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College in China on conducting short term foreign training programmes on concessionary basis for selected groups of students at the National Institute of Labour Studies.

The land, where Unawatuna Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre of National Dangerous Drugs Control Board is located, is owned to the Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by President Maithripala Sirisena to assign this land to the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board enabling construction work.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development to award the contract for the construction of a small luxury hotel at Battaramulla Waters' Edge Hotel premises to Sathuta Builders Pvt. Ltd. for Rs. 1,2888.7 million.

Developing the land in Peliyagoda for proposed housing project for low-income people

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development to accomplish these activities by the Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation at a cost of Rs. 217.34 million.

International consultancy service for Mundeni Aru River Valley Development Project

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the proposal presented by P. Harrison, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development to call for proposals from local and foreign consultancy institutions and appoint a Consultancy Committee to assess these proposals in order to select an experienced consultant for this purpose.
