Two held with heroin from Piliyandala

Two persons with over 710 grams of heroin were taken into custody from Batakettara in the Piliyandala Police Division yesterday.

Mount Lavinia Police acting on a tip-off took into custody two persons with heroin packets weighing over 710 grams when a three wheeler was checked by police on suspicion from Batakettara, Piliyandala. The suspects along with the three wheeler were handed over to the Piliyandala police for investigations.

The suspects who are residents of Ratmalana and Madapatha were produced before the Kesbewa Magistrate's Court yesterday evening.
