RIMC, Chennai, hospital opens to SL patients

The Dr. Rela Institute and Medical Centre (RIMC), a multi-specialty quaternary care hospital with a vision to provide the best in clinical care with the state-of-the-art infrastructure in Chennai, India, is opening their services to Sri Lankan patients.

The hospital is committed to being an internationally significant health care system, functioning in an area of 36 acres of land located in Chromepet, Chennai, India. This hospital has a facility of 450 beds inclusive of 130 critical care beds, 75 specialized outpatient consultation suites, 14 futuristic operation theaters, contemporary reference laboratories and radiology services.

Established under the leadership of Prof. Mohamed Rela, a world-renowned surgeon in the field of liver surgery and transplantation, the hospital houses one of the worlds largest dedicated liver intensive care units. The hospital emphasises on multi-organ transplantation and on several other specialities.

“Our hospital is also committed to providing day to day “Primary and Secondary Care” to the local population with international standards,” Prof. Rela said.

A special program of the hospital services were presented to Sri Lankans recently and President of Sri Lankan Association Bose Dharmalingam, some of his association members, staff of the Sri Lankan Embassy, staff and officials from SriLankan Airlines, attended the launch, aimed at establishing relationships between the Srilankan Association and RIMC.

They were provided a Master Health Check that is offered by the Hospital for International Patients.
