Panagoda troops hold Bak Maha Ulela

The Panagoda Army Camp held its Bak Maha Ulela with Army Commander Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake participating as the chief guest, on Monday.

Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) President Chandrika Senanayake and Chief of Staff Major General Shavendra Silva was also present at the event.

The event was inaugurated with the hoisting of the national flag and the lighting of the traditional oil lamp.

A one-minute silence was also observed for the fallen war heroes before the recital of the National Anthem.

At the end of the event, Lieutenant General Senanayake and several senior officers handed gifts and trophies to the winners of different games and competitions.
