A’pura Central College secures 108 A-passes

There have been 108 students from the Anuradhapura Central College who had obtained nine A-passes at last year’s G.C.E. (A.L.) examinations, school principal H.M. Abeykoon said.

He said that it was a milestone in the history of the North-central Province’s education.

Furthermore, 77 students secured eight A-passes, while another 67 obtained seven A-passes, the principal said. He said that all 450 Advanced Level students who sat for the exams last year had passed.

He added that it was a result of the commitment of the students and teachers. In 2017, only 88 candidates had obtained nine A-passes at the school. The Anuradhapura Central College has secured on the 10th place in the island at the G.C.E (O.L.) pass percentage.
