Tightened security of Fisheries Harbours

State Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Dilip Wedaarachchi today instructed relevant authorities to take immediate measures to tighten security of all fisheries harbours.

During a meeting held recently at the Ministry, the State Minister further instructed authorities to prepare a coordinated security plan for fishery harbours with the assistance of Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Coast Guard and Sri Lanka Police.

He requested all the fishermen to be vigilant on people those who entering fishery harbours and goods carrying out by them.

State Minister Wedaarchchi also instructed to implement a security plan avoiding outsiders using fishery boats for other purposes.
