The young prince’s mother took the latest batch of photos to mark his first birthday.
With his healthy crop of hair swept neatly to one side, his peachy cheeks, and trademark Middleton eyebrows Prince Louis, who turns one Tuesday, is the spitting image of his mother the Duchess of Cambridge, who took three images of the baby prince released late Monday in the U.K. Louis gazes straight at the lens dressed in a smart blue jumper embroidered with a puppy from children’s store Trotters Prince. (The outfit is currently on sale so expect the website to crash any minute now.)
In the other two pictures the prince is seen playing in the grounds of the couple’s Norfolk home where the family have just enjoyed the Easter holiday. In one, he is dressed in a burgundy jumper and appears to be wearing a white Rachel Riley shirt with peter pan collar handed down from big brother Prince George. While Louis has spent most of the first year of his life hidden away from the spotlight, the Cambridges, in keeping with their decision to issue official pictures of their children on milestone birthdays chose to celebrate their youngest son’s birthday with the release of these eagerly anticipated new images.
