Four held in Kurundugaha

Four suspects including Maldivian nationals who had come to Galduwa in Ambalangoda to buy an old motorcycle were remanded till May 6 by Balapitiya Magistrate Sampath Gamage.

These Maldivians together with a Sri Lankan from Dehiwala, Colombo, had visited a house in Galduwa to buy the motorcycle for Rs. 80,000. The owner of the house who was suspicious of them, had informed the police.

These suspects had paid for the vehicle, but left without taking it with them. However, police managed to arrest the suspects at the Southern Expressway entrance at Kurundugaha.

The Magistrate also allowed the TID to question them.
