‘Terrorism a threat to entire region’

“The threat of terrorism in any country is no doubt a threat to the entire region. It is therefore to the best of interests that we collaborate and coordinate our efforts and measures to eradicate global terrorism,” said Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera.

He was speaking at the SAARC Finance Ministers’ meeting held on the sidelines of the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank in Nadi, Fiji.

“I am confident that if we work together, we could succeed in bringing peace, stability and prosperity to the entire SAARC region.”

“Sri Lanka supports the Irish initiative to mitigate climate change in smaller oceanic states,” the Minister added.
