Volkswagen Beetle Owners Club hosted its 20th Annual “Pride of Ownership” drive recently, at Orkray Haridra Resort and Spa Wadduwa.
A landmark event of the club as the Pride of Ownership Drive has carried on unbroken for the past 20 years, while this year’s drive would coincide with the celebration of 100 years of the Hilton Hotel Chain which has been the traditional Start of the Pride of Ownership Drive and the Club has assured over 100 VWs attend this year’s drive breaking a record attendance at all events organized by the Club.The
The LOLC Group was the main sponsor for the event.
“The hotel put together a fabulous array of events and meals, ensuring an excellent day of entertainment followed by a fellowship buffet lunch and awards ceremony, said General Manager, Gerad Cruize.
The four star hotel is at present making a name to host functions of this nature and several other mega events too were hosted by us. To add more value to the hotel, we would be also opening our Spa next month.”
This event has brought about immense interest amongst both locals and tourists who flock to witness the line-up of VWs en-route to the resort location.
Built in a four acre area with three separate buildings, the hotel offers six well-designed presidential suits, each equipped with a flat-screen TV and mini-bar, a separate living room and a private plunge pool.
In addition, the hotel has 6 Luxury suites and 18 beaches and ocean view rooms facing the ocean.
