More security for bridges

Additional security has been provided to all the bridges in Colombo, following the recent security alerts on a possible terror attack targeting them, police and military sources said.

According to Police sources, they have taken measures to deploy additional Police officers at bridges.

Military sources also confirmed that additional Army personnel have been deployed to ensure the security of bridges.

The Sri Lanka Navy was also requested to enhance the security of bridges by deploying vessels to patrol rivers.
