Babies crawl and brawl to the finish line

Babies gathered from all over Ohio to compete in the NBA half-time baby crawl competition – and the champion slider was crowned.

Half way through the Cleveland Cavaliers match against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, eight six to 12 month olds got their knees warm for the 2018 Goodyear Diaper Dash Championship.

While many of the entrants refused to even leave the start line, Micha Steiner aka ‘Mad Dash’ was the first to cross the half court finish line.

The smiling baby was awarded a ‘cake’ of diapers and his dummy, while his family walked off with four Goodyear tires and a ride on the Goodyear Blimp – as well as a cash award.

Sloane Davies aka ‘T Swift’ started off with the lead, but after a quick stop half way over the court, Sloane was knocked out by Mich.

When the host said go, the babies were put down while parents called on them to rush over to the other side.

While it was a proud day for many parents in Cleveland, the Cavs lost against the 76ers 128-105 at the Quicken Loans Arena in Ohio. Metro
