Long, luscious lashes!

Your eyelashes are one of your most striking features. They give an instant lift to your eye makeup and also frame your eyes beautifully. Long eye lashes are desirable but when you are not born with it, the easiest solution came from cosmetic stores. Here we show you how it is worth investing in a quality conditioning serum to enhance your flutter.

Defining eyelash boosters

Eyelash boosters are serums. Not only does the serum grow ultra-lush length as it promises, but nourishing ingredients like green tea, ginseng, and biotin also shield your lashes from external irritants to keep them from breaking.

Eyelash boosters and safety

While both prescription and OTC serums are safe to use for any skin type, avoid usingthem if you have blepharitis, an inflammatory condition of the conjunctival area where eyelashes originate from, or dry eye because the products could worsen symptoms.

reasons for eyelashes to become thin and short

Your eyelashes could be falling out due to several factors. They can be:

Advancing age

Menopause

Hormonal imbalances

Handling your lashes roughly like scrubbing your eyelashes vigorously while removing eye makeup.

Allergic reaction to some eye makeup products

Use of cheap quality eyelash extensions

Stressing too much

Chemotherapy drugs used to treat cancer often results in thinning hair and lashes

Certain medical conditions like blepharitis, an overactive/underactive thyroid, psoriasis, eczema, or trichotillomania Poor hygiene

Why you need to use eyelash boosters/growth serums

Eyelash boosters or growth serums lengthens the growth cycle of eyelashes leading to longer, darker, and fuller lashes. Although you might not necessarily see dramatic results from these OTC serums, they contain nourishing ingredients that strengthen eyelash hairs over time, so they’re stronger and more resilient against breakage.

Side effects or things to watch out for when using growth serums

The most common side effects include redness and irritation, which if you experience either, you should immediately stop using the serum. Discolouration of the skin around the eyelids is also a possibility. It is important to note that some skin discolouration can be a side effect.

Therefore, it is important to always gently wipe away any excess serum on the eye lid.
