Pakistan Youth emerged series winners 3-2 against Sri Lanka youth on Wednesday despite Sri Lanka under 19’s winning the fifth and last Youth ODI match by five wickets at MRICS Hambantota on Wednesday.

Sri Lanka youth won the first and last matches while the Pakistan youth won other three matches.

Sri Lanka U19’s won the toss and elected to field. Pakistan U19’s scored 264 runs for 7 wickets in 50 overs. Opener Mohammed Basit scored 56 runs in 82 balls with 7 boundaries. Haris Khan scored 54 runs and Qasim Akram made 51 runs. Skipper Rohail Nazir chipped in with 41 runs. Opener Mohammed Basit and skipper Rohail Nazir were involved in a 81-run stand for 2nd wicket.

Haris Khan and Qasim Akram put on 68 runs for the 5th wicket. Dilshan Madushanka took 3 wickets for 45 runs. Kamil Mishara, Kavindu Wickramasinghe and Sandun Mendis took one wicket each.

Sri Lanka U19’s scored 267 runs for five wickets in 46.5 overs. Skipper Kamil Mishara scored 87 runs in 118 balls with 5 boundaries and Ravindu Rashantha made 85 runs in 67 balls with 13 boundaries. Skipper Kamil Mishara and Ravindu Rashantha put on 132 runs for the 3rd wicket. Avishka Tharindu scored an unbeaten 40 runs in 40 balls with 5 boundaries. Kamil Mishara and Avishka Tharindu were associated in a 69-run stand for 5th wicket. Mohammad Wasim and Shiraz Khan took 2 wickets each.
