President, Police Commission meeting held

A special meeting between President Maithripala Sirisena and the members of the National Police Commission (NPC) took place at the Presidential Secretariat on Thursday (6), NPC sources said.

Future plans related to the Sri Lanka Police had been discussed at this meeting.

A meeting between the NPC members and Senior DIGs was held at the Police Commission premises. They exchanged views about the role of Senior DIGs and problems faced by them.

Retired senior DIG Gamini Gunawardene participated at the meeting as a resource person.

All Senior DIGs except one had participated at this meeting.
