Three nabbed for plundering bus

Three suspects who plundered a bus belonging to the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) at the Arachchikattuwa area on the Colombo – Mannar main road on Sunday (26) night, were arrested by the Arachchikattuwa Police.

The three drunk plunderers had grabbed Rs. 30,000 and a ticket-issuing machine worth Rs. 60,000 forcibly from the SLTB bus conductor. They had got off the bus threatening the driver and the conductor with death. The suspects were identified as residents of the Vijaya Katupotha area, Chilaw. Investigations are being conducted by a police team led by IP AnuradhaHerath, Arachchikattuwa Police OIC.
