Habaraduwa Police apprehended an interdicted Police Constable (PC) with 2.27 grams of heroin from the Sinha Village in Koggala, recently.
The suspect has been identified as a 30-year-old resident of Wanduramba. Police said he is a drug addict, and that he had bought the contraband using ‘eZ Cash’ transactions.
Police said that the suspect had been interdicted earlier over a dispute with a Police Sergeant while he was attached to the Sooriyawewa Police Station. They added that he had also been quarantined at the Kandakadu Quarantine Centre, recently.
