The warrant issued for the arrest of former Parliamentarian Arjuna Ranatunga was recalled by the Colombo Chief Magistrate Mohommed Mihail today for failing to appear before Court. Magistrate fixed further inquiries for January 18.
Former MP Arjuna Ranatunga was not present before the court to provide evidence with regard to a case filed against Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Colombo Municipal Councillor Kulatissa Deeganage, his nephew Gayan Kulawansha Kulatissa and eight others.
The Magistrate had earlier issued notices on the former MP to appear before the court today.
