A person who had been arrested before for selling liquor at high prices during Poson, Esala, and Nikini Poya days, has been arrested again for selling liquor in the same manner yesterday by Aluthgama Police. A woman was also arrested along with him; they are residents of the Aluthgama Darga Town and Bondupitiya areas.
The suspects had been selling 380ml bottles of arrack at Rs.1,000. Police also found four bottles of liquor hidden near the gate of the house.
The suspects are to be produced before the Kalutara Magistrate soon. Aluthgama Police are investigating.
