Orientation for Jaffna graduates successfully completed

The first stage of the orientation programme for graduates in Jaffna which was initiated on the directive of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was successfully completed.

The whole programme was conducted by Security Forces (Jaffna) under the guidance of Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.

The programme included the Leadership and Team Building package, Management package, Public Sector package, Private Sector package and Project Work package successfully. The Leadership and Team Building package was conducted under the supervision of Brigadier Sisira Pilapitiya, General Officer Commanding 55 Division.

The Management Training package was conducted in coordination with the Management Faculty of Jaffna University under the supervision of Major General Lalith Rathnayake, General Officer Commanding 51 Division.

Jaffna Government Agent Kanapathipillai Maheshan Jaffna extended fullest support to the Sri Lanka Army and facilitated the training programme to enable the vision of the government to be realized.

Troops in the Jaffna peninsula who are involved in the training programme under the directive of Major General Senarath Bandara, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), received compliments from graduates for the excellent instructional and administrative facilitation extended during the entire training programme.

The closing session for the Leadership and Team Building package was delivered by Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) on October 3 following a cultural performance organized by the graduates. General Officer Commanding 55 Division, Additional Government Agent Jaffna, senior officers and troops attended the ceremony.
