Two women’s bodies found

Hemmathagama Police found two bodies of women in a thicket in Meepitiya, Hemmathagama last morning.

The two women had allegedly died in electrocution. One of the bodies was found in Meepitiya among 'mana' bushes and the other was found around 150 meters away from the first in a wooded area close to the Ambadeniya school.

The two bodies were almost decomposed. Police suspect that they were electrocuted by a trap set by a hunter. He may have hidden the bodies, police said.

One woman was around 60 years of age and the other, 35.

One suspect has been arrested.

Hemmathagama Police are investigating.
