Mahajana Eksath Peramuna (MEP) Leader, Foreign Affairs Minister and Leader of the House Dinesh Gunawardena yesterday said that close attention has been paid to the statement by the Archbishop of Colombo, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith on the release of brother of the former Minister Rashad Bathiudeen. “Rishad Bathiudeen’s brother was arrested on charges of having close association with criminals and involved in various illegal activities.
