The Health Department ordered two institutions in Horana to be closed yesterday when two coronavirus patients were confirmed to have visited them recently. One of the buildings is a furniture store, while the other is a financial institution.

Health officials have urged the public not to visit Horana, unless it is essential. Furthermore, the incumbents of the Kandanhena Sri Nandarama Temple in Horana have also been quarantined at the same place due to a coronavirus patient visiting it recently.

Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests were conducted on 59 Horana residents at the Anguruwatota Public Stadium, yesterday.
