LAUGFS Gas launches Hotline

LAUGFS Gas recently launched its dedicated hotline 1345 to facilitate swift and efficient delivery of gas cylinders and refills to all parts of the island. This service is an extension of the company’s efforts to pioneer the digitizing of LPG retailing in Sri Lanka.

The hotline is manned by a team of professionals based at LAUGFS head office in Maya Avenue, Colombo 6. The entire process is handled and monitored by a panel of trained executives whereby customers are ensured a fast, efficient service as opposed to dealing with a computer programme/AI.

Commenting at the launch of the hotline, Chaminda Ediriwickrama Cluster CEO and Director at LAUGFS Gas PLC said, “LAUGFS as the forerunner of the local energy industry is pleased to transform the market with use of modern communication tools; this is a natural progression of our efforts to achieve optimum efficiency with help of technology. Now customers can order their gas right from home and have the cylinder or refill delivered to their doorstep within a matter of minutes.”

He added: “The need for a hotline was felt strongly during the Covid19 lockdown. We are glad to have been the first mover in providing multiple platforms to the customer and to embrace cashless, contactless payment for same via digital means.”

Furthermore he noted that this hotline was not merely for ordering but acts as a window for the customer to connect with LAUGFS mediating as a ‘virtual receptionist’ – the hotline is geared to receive complaints if any, inquiries, provide product details and dealer information around the clock.

In addition to the hotline, customers can order via the website or by visiting any LAUGFS Gas outlet. Incidentally LAUGFS web site is the only LPG web-site where a customer has the convenience of making a real-time on-line payment.
