‘Passengers on Indian flight landed in mattala followed health guidelines’

Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport authorities yesterday said that passengers arrived on a recent flight from India were subjected to the health guidelines and directed to quarantine.

According to airport sources, no Indians had arrived on the flight on September 22, and the passengers were a group of Sri Lankan National who were working in India.

Following the COVID-19 positive cases found from the Brandix factory in Minuwangoda, there was speculation that a group of Indian nationals working for the company had arrived in the country through Mattala.

Brandix Apparel on Wednesday issued a statement that no parties from India or any other country had access to their Minuwangoda facility.
