Infant at LRH tests positive for COVID-19

A 10-month-old infant at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) for Children in Colombo tested positive for COVID-19, Hospital Director Dr. G. Wijesuriya confirmed.

The Director further confirmed that none of the staff of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children are at risk of contracting the virus since the infant had been isolated on admission to the hospital as a precaution, as the infant was a resident of Minuwangoda and showed symptoms of the virus. The infant was immediately transferred to the IDH for treatment.
