Foreign Ministry staffers take part in Outbound Training programme

The staffers of the Foreign Ministry took part in an Outbound Training programme at Rangiri Aqua, an Outbound Training Centre for Social Ideology Development in Dambulla, from October 2 to 4. The training programme was organised by the Policy Planning and Human Resource Development Division of the Foreign Ministry, under the guidance of Foreign Secretary Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage.

This is the first outbound training workshop specifically designed for the staffers of the Ministry, comprising officers from the Sri Lanka Foreign Service, Administrative Service, and Accountancy Service, with the objective of improving teamwork capabilities, re-invigorating intra-group relations, better communication, and leadership skills. A total of 58 staff officers of the Ministry participated in this outbound training session.

Located away from the office environment in Dambulla, the officers engaged in activities designed to improve leadership and communication skills, planning, change management, delegation and motivation with special sessions on team building concepts, team psychology, emotional intelligence for work life balance and meditation. Each session was conducted using comprehensive outbound training methods.
