Maj. Gen. Sirinage appointed Deputy Chief of Staff

Major General Duminda Sirinage (54) assumed duties as Deputy Chief of Staff - Army Headquarters on October 1.

He has been serving as Colonel Commandant of Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.

Major General Duminda Sirinage is a product of Mahinda College, Galle and Badulla Central College. He was enlisted in the Sri Lanka Army on October 1, 1985 as a Cadet of Intake SSC7 and commissioned as second Lieutenant in the Regular Force of Sri Lanka Army and posted to Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on May 31, 1986.

Major General Sirinage is the Sri Lanka Cycling Association Vice President and President of the Sri Lanka Army Para Games Committee and Army Cycling Association.
