Fourteen year old, all rounder, right hand opening batsman, left arm leg spinner, specialist gully fielder Ryan Nelash Disanayake has brought honour and glory to his Alma Mater St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa.

He commenced his schooling at St. Sebastian’s College and he was admitted to Grade One in the year 2012 when Rev. Fr. Bonnie Fernandopulle was at the helm of the school. His father being a Sebastianite was keen in cricket and former sports instructor at the Sports Ministry and presently a Fitness Trainer Lucky Disanayake admitted his son to the Vision Cricket Academy, Piliyandala under Chanaka Dilshan and in 2017he attended practices at his college cricket academy under Kanishka Perera, Sameer Aponso and Samith Fernando and in the following year he was selected for the team and appointed as the captain of the Division Three Team and they came upto quarter finals and Ryan performed well.

In the following year leading the team in division two Ryan scored 460 runs with a century against Ibbagamuwa Central and collected another three fifties and claimed 29 scalps with one five wicket haul against Chandrasekera Vidyalaya Horethuduwa and in the next year leading division one team he scored 330 runs with a century against Panadura, Johnians with six fifties and bagged 54 wickets including six five wicket hauls and became the highest wicket taker of the tournament. This year he is down to play for the under 15 team and he has a another year to play for the same team.

In addition he represented Vision Cricket Academy in the under 12 Nelson Mendis Cricket Tournament and for the Colombo Premier under 13 cricket tournament and got three fifties and finally he represented the AS Cricket Academy in 2019 and at present he is playing for A. S. Cricket Academy in the on going Amal Rodrego under 15 Challenge Trophy tournament
