Panadura Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) carried out 163 PCR tests and detected a COVID-19 case recently.
Fish stalls in the town have been closed thereafter on the instructions of a committee headed by Panadura Urban Council (UC) Chairman Nandana Gunathilake.
Two garment factories in Panadura, Moderwila were also closed and PCR tests were carried out on a PC driver who had gone to the Peliyagoda Fish Market to buy fish, a PHI said.
