Six persons in Dodanduwa and Ambalangoda tested positive for COVID-19 on November 2, Galle District Regional Epidemiologist Venura K. Singakkara said.
Of the six, three are women. They are residents of Wellawata and China Friendship Village in Hikkaduwa, Devagoda in Ambalangoda and Patuwatha in Dodanduwa.
The men were sent to the Hambantota Hospital, while the women were sent to the Colombo Neville Fernando Hospital, the epidemiologist said.
PCR tests were carried out 182 persons at the Hikkaduwa Fishery Harbour and they were instructed to be self-quarantined. The confirmed cases have been linked to the Peliyagoda Fish Market COVID-19 cluster, Dr. Venura said.
