COVID-19 Itukama fund exceeds Rs.1,693 million

Following corporate, individual donations and direct deposits, the ‘ITUKAMA’ COVID-19 Healthcare and Social Security Fund balance has now surpassed Rs.1,693 million.

Seylan Bank PLC made a donation of Rs.5,000,000 while the National Water Supply and Drainage Board made a donation of Rs.15,136,647.99 to the Fund.

The relevant cheques were handed over by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Meanwhile Finlays Colombo Limited donated Rs.10,000,000 to the fund and the relevant cheque was handed over by Gihan S.Jayasinghe to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Local, as well as foreign donors, have made their contributions to the Fund. Deposits can be made through cheques, telegraphic transfers, via www.itukama.lk or by dialing #207#.
