Yields on the secondary bond market remained broadly unchanged yesterday while the overall market witnessed mixed activities amidst low volumes. With low trading, activities were seen on 15.03.22 at 5.40%, 15.12.22 in the range of 5.60%-5.64% and in the long end, on 15.10.27 at 6.97%.
Bourse transcended the 6,000 psychological level once again after a month on the back of robust investor confidence due to exceptional earnings in selective counters. Materials sector counters led the 3 week high turnover followed by the Capital Goods sector making a joint contribution of 53%. Index experienced a continuous uptrend since the beginning of the session and closed at 6,004 with an advance of 98 points.
