All-rounder Lohan De Zoysa excels for Dharmasoka

Lohan De Zoysa skipper of Dharmasoka College Ambalangoda is a leading all-rounder in the ongoing ‘Singer Trophy’ Under 19 Division One inter Schools Cricket (Two day) tournament conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association.

He commenced school cricket in 2009 when he was seven year s. Lohan represented the school under 13 team in five seasons. He was deputy skipper of Dharmasoka under 13 team when they emerged runner up of Division One tournament in 2014. He led the college under 13 team in 2015. He was selected for the Sri Lanka under 13 cricket development squad from 2012 to 2015. He represented the college under 15 team in 2016 and 2017. He represented Galle District and Southern Province teams at the Prima Champions Cup inter district tournament and inter provincial tournament in 2016 and 2017. Lohan was a member of the Sri Lanka Schools under 15 cricket team which toured Malaysia in 2016.

Lohan represented the college first XI Cricket team as a fresher in 2016/17 season as a 14-year lad. He played three big matches against arch rivals Sri Devananda College Ambalangoda. He led the school under 17 team in 2017. Lohan showed good all-round performances. He scored 625 runs with 2 centuries and 3 half centuries and took 42 wickets.

He represented the Kandy team in the Under 19 Super Provincial Tournament. He claimed a hat-rick against team Galle and was awarded the Man of the Match trophy. Lohan scored 812 runs with a century and four half centuries in the under 19 season (2018/19). He claimed 51 wickets in the season.

Forth year Colorsman and right hand batsman Lohan scored 848 runs with three centuries and three half centuries and claimed 88 wickets as a left arm leg spinner in only 13 matches at an average of 14.54. He was the leading all-rounder in the last season.

Lohan showed his best bowling performance in a match against Prince of Wales College Moratuwa (14 wickets for 68 runs). His best bowling performance in an innings was against Maliyadeva, Kurunegala (8 for 41 runs).

His best all-round performance was against Moratu Vidyalaya, where he scored unbeaten 150 runs and took 10 wickets for 85 in this season. He has claimed five ten wicket hauls in this season against Prince of Wales (14/68), Maliyadeva (10/83), St. Anthony’s (10/115), Moratu Vidyalaya (10/85) and D.S. Senanayake (10/131).

His three centuries came out against Moratu Vidyalaya (150*), Maliyadeva (106) and St. Peter’s (104*) in this season.
