Jaffna Stallions, first to reach Hambantota LPL premises

Jaffna Stallions became the first to reach Hambantota for the upcoming 2020 Lanka Premier League (LPL). The team arrived at the official hotel in Hambantota on November 16 after successfully completing a three-day residential training camp at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium from November 13 to 15.

Of the five teams at 2020 LPL, Jaffna Stallions was the first to begin training as a team and also reach the LPL premises in Hambantota. Remaining loyal to their mission, the squad keeps striving to upgrade their sportsmanship in all possible ways. The team will soon be joined by the six overseas players after which training will be resumed.

The 2020 LPL is set to commence on the November 26. This will be the inaugural edition of LPL Twenty20 franchise cricket tournament in Sri Lanka and therefore, a historic event in Sri Lankan cricket.

Jaffna Stallions is a franchise cricket team playing in the 2020 Lanka Premier League (LPL). The team is owned by a consortium of 12 Sri Lankans living in the UK, Canada and Australia. The squad is coached by Thilina Kandamby and captained by Thisara Perera; both are seasoned players having years of experience in the field. Jaffna Stallions consists of 20 players with 14 local and six overseas players.
