A ceremony to provide dry rations for Kalutara District schools children was held at the Uduvela Piyaratna Maha Vidyalaya in the Matugama Educational Zone a couple of months ago. The event was organized according to the Sawbagaye Dekma concept.
State Minister of Women, Child Development, Preschools and Primary Education, School Infrastructure and School Services Piyal Nishantha was the Chief Guest. Director of Education L Dissanayake, Chairman of the Matugama Pradeshiya Sabha M Munasinghe, Divisional Education Officers, parents and students were present.
