Fifteen Kurunegala post office employees test positive for COVID-19

Six employees of the Kurunegala Postal Superintendent’s Office tested positive for COVID-19 when PCR tests were conducted for them by the Kurunegala Municipal Council on Tuesday.

Following this, the postal office was closed temporarily and all associates of the infected employees have been ordered to be kept under quarantine.

Meanwhile, the Nikaweratiya and Galgamuwa post offices were also closed yesterday as nine positive COVID-19 patients were detected among the employees. Kurunegala District Secretary R.M.R. Rathnayake has confirmed these facts.
