Matale youth recruited for State job training

Over 1,400 youth have been recruited from the Matale District recently under the Employment Provision Scheme for 100,000 youth from low income families according to the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s Vision of Prosperity.

The newly recruits will be trained by the Department of Multi-purpose Forces.

According to the Divisional Secretariats, the recruits will be sent for psychometric tests. Based on the test, their field of employments will be identified.

The National Youth Corps will provide two weeks of leadership training to the selected recruits. They will then follow the NVQ-3 Course under the National Apprenticeship Training Institutes for five months and two weeks. Thereafter, they will be absorbed into the public service under PL-1 Grade.
