Another 277 COVID-19 positive cases reported today, stated the Department of Government Information.
261 patients are from Peliyagoda COVID-19 Cluster and 16 patients are from Prison Cluster.
Accordingly, the total count from clusters rises to 41,498.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country surpasses 45,000 mark as per the Epidemiology Unit’s tally. It is at 45,242 and 37,817 of them have made complete recoveries.
There are only 7,210 active cases being treated in various hospitals across the country.
The country has also witnessed 215 deaths from the virus.
