Akuressa PS Chairman’s bail request rejected

A bail application submitted for former Akuressa Pradeshiya Sabha (PS) Chairman Saruwa Liyanage Sunil was yesterday rejected by the Colombo High Court.

The Defence Counsel for the accused moved Court to release his client on bail since he has filed an appeal before the Court of Appeal challenging the judgment of the Colombo High Court.

After taking into consideration the facts, High Court Judge Adithya Patabendi decided to reject the bail application.
