More development funds allocated this year - State Minister

A HOME FOR ALL: Minister of State for Rural Housing and Construction and Building Materials, Industry Promotion Indika Anuruddha said that the Government has allocated a large sum in the budget this year for the construction of homes and the uplift of the rural economy in keeping with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s  “Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour” National Policy Framework. The Minister made these statements while participating in the opening ceremony to hand over new houses constructed in the Ihala Lunugama area in the Dompe Divisional Secretariat Division of the Gampaha District on Tuesday. 

State Minister for Rural Housing and Construction and Building Materials Industry Promotion Indika Anuruddha, said that the Government has allocated a large amount of money in the budget for the development of the rural economy, housing and infrastructure development in 2021.

He said all such development activities will commence immediately.

The State Minister was participating at the opening ceremony of open new houses constructed in the Ihala Lunugama area in the Dompe Divisional Secretariat Division of the Gampaha District on Tuesday.

In line with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa's National Policy Framework, “Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour” and on the instructions of Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, the State Ministry of Rural Housing and Construction and Building Materials Industry Promotion is implementing the a National Housing Programme.

This programme is implemented in all 14,022 Grama Niladhari Divisions in the country. Gampaha District MP Milan Jayatilleke and a group of local politicians and Government officials were present on the occasion.
