SL Embassy in Washington re-opens

The Sri Lankan Embassy in Washington DC, which was closed from January 4 to 10 due to five staff members including Ambassador Ravinatha Aryasinha contracting COVID-19, resumed normal functions from yesterday, the Embassy announced.

“The rest of the staff, all of whom have tested negative following the PCR test, will be at work, while those affected who will complete their quarantine period through next week, will work remotely. The Embassy premises were disinfected and sanitized last Friday (January 8),” the statement read.
