Inquiry mooted into conduct of Samurdhi Development Officer

A resolution has been unanimously approved by all councillors of the Panadura Urban Council at its monthly meeting requesting the Government and all Heads of Departments to hold an inquiry into the conduct of a Samurdhi Development Officer of Nalluruwa Ward No 692/2 as he was in the habit of publishing defamatory stories against the Panadura Urban Council, misleading the rate payers.

P. H. Wilman Vice Chairman of the Council told the Daily News, a complaint had been made to the Sri Lanka Press Council too in this connection.

The resolution adopted at the Council meeting had been forwarded to the government authorities and the Heads of the Dept., the Vice Chairman stated further.
