Two suspects were arrested and a lorry containing over 1,559 Kg of illegally imported turmeric was seized from the Baseline Road, Colombo by the Special Task Force (STF).
The suspects along with the stock of turmeric and the lorry were handed over to the Dematagoda Police.
They are residents of Kandy and Wattala.
Dematagoda Police and STF personnel are investigating.
