Major General (Rtd) Nandana Senadheera assumed duties as the Eighth Director General of the Civil Defence Department at a ceremony held at the Defence Services College in Colombo yesterday morning. The New Director General assumed duties after receiving blessings from the Maha Sangha. Defence Secretary General (Rtd) Kamal Gunaratne, Tri Forces Commanders and IGP C.D. Wickremaratne were present.
