Russia President Vladimir Putin sent a congratulation message to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the 73rd Independence Day of Sri Lanka.
The Russian President said, "the relations between Russia and Sri Lanka are of traditionally friendly nature. I am confident that the further development of the constructive bilateral cooperationin the various fields fully meets the interests of our peoples, and is in line with the strengthening of the regional stability and security.
