Iran congrats Sri Lanka

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani congratulated Sri Lanka on its 73rd Independence Day.

The Iranian President said that he was confident that mutual cooperation between the two countries would be enhanced under the tenure of Sri Lanka’s President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

Belarus invites Sri Lanka to expand ties

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greetings to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa as the country celebrates the Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The Head of State said that in more than 70 years of independence, Sri Lanka has become an influential member of the international community.

“Minsk and Colombo are committed to peace and stability, share the positions on the most important issues of the global agenda.

I am convinced that the expansion of our bilateral ties in politics, trade, economy, science, technology and humanitarian affairs can give an additional impetus to the development of the two countries,” the message said.

UAE leaders fete Sri Lanka

UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of congratulations to Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the occasion of his country’s Independence Day, observed on February 4.

Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, sent similar messages to President Rajapaksa, and the country’s Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, on the occasion.
