Major airlines to continue Lankan services

Many international airlines have pledged to continue their services to Sri Lanka Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, Upul Dharmadasa. Some of these airlines had earlier indicated that they were pulling out.

He also disclosed that flydubai which operated scheduled flights to MRIA too would recommence flights soon.

In addition Air India, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Turkish Airlines and many more will fly to Sri Lanka.

He said that several other airlines have requested to fly to Sri Lanka and we want to encourage more airlines to fly to Sri Lanka from destinations that SriLankan does not operate.

The MRIA which was cold-shouldered by the previous government had played a key role in accommodating repatriation flights crew changes and accommodated 2,300 tourists so far said Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services, Major General (Rtd) G. A. Chandrasiri.
