Sri Lanka Insurance paid the largest claim ever in the history of Sri Lanka Insurance pertaining to Bankers indemnity insurance. The Rs. 157,484,139 worth claim was settled to Bank of Ceylon Thalawa Branch for a burglary claim.
The cheque of the claim was handed over to D.P.K. Gunasekara – General Manager Bank of Ceylon by Chandana L. Aluthgama CEO of Sri Lanka Insurance and A.R.Mallikarachchi, AGM Administrative Services of Bank of Ceylon, H.M.Gajadeera Arachchi, Chief Manager Supplies Department/Ceybank Insurance of Bank of Ceylon, Lilith De Silva, Head of Distribution - General Insurance of SLIC, Milanga Chandiram, Senior Manager Corporate Business Division, Achintha Jayawardhane, Asst. Manager for the Public Sector of SLIC were also presented at the occasion.
Sri Lanka Insurance Bankers indemnity insurance covers various risks related to the banking sector inclusive of fire, riot and strike, burglary, theft, robbery and various financial risks pertaining to routine operations.
